Marla Sher Design’s passion for detail and true collaborative spirit is evident in every project. From inception to installation, Marla is immersed in each phase and detail. Her informed sense of space is as unique and varied as her clientele. In old world elegance or contemporary casual, you see crafted ceilings, sumptuous rugs, furnishings and murals individually customized for each environment.

 

A Toronto native, Marla moved to Los Angeles in 1985 to accept a position at the prestigious Hirsch Bedner Associates where she honed her skills in hospitality design. Traveling the world for the firm, projects included hotels in Sydney, Toronto, Hawaii and in California the Inn at Spanish Bay on the Monterey Peninsula and the famed Beverly Hills Hotel.

 

In 1994 Marla opened her own firm developing intelligent and functional design of high-end residential and commercial spaces. She often collaborates with her husband, architect Dan Curran. With offices in both Southern and Northern California, Marla and her team handle a wide and varied range of environments.
